Did anyone reach their required protein intake without any supplementation from protein shakes/bars?

Getting our nutrients from food is the best; however, don't be afraid to use protein powder to help you in these early stages if you feel you need it! Just be sure to research before buying one. However, also don't feel you have to reach this goal immediately. You are making massive changes to your diet, and every improvement is something to be celebrated! You most likely have increased your protein from what it was before; therefore, it is a step in the right direction. Gradually you will keep improving until reaching that protein goal isn't such a challenge anymore- but don't expect it to happen overnight! It is like any diet change- for example, giving up sugar! If we go completely cold turkey, we usually end up eating all those sugary foods again. Whereas if we gradually reduce our intake, we get used to the 'new normal' over time and don't experience as many cravings. With protein, it is the reverse; we are trying to add it to our diet- but it takes time! I hope this helps make the journey seem less daunting! :)
