Does using aloe to detangle my hair make my strands wet and therefore too fragile?

Detangling wet hair without any slipping agents is never a good idea, but by using aloe on your strands, you create a slip that will slide knots out with less friction and keep your cuticles lying flat. Using a slipping agent/oil/emollient is always better than detangling dry hair, and detangling dry hair is always better than detangling wet hair.
