Are you already incorporating the following steps?:
- Pre-pooing with a penetrating oil (for example warm Coconut Oil or Argan Oil).
- Drastically reducing the time your hair is exposed to water (eg. when you shower wash your body first and your hair last).
- Using a conditioner with large proteins (for example from Hydrolysed Oat, Wheat, Soy, Vegetable, Quinoa Protein).
- Applying a sealant after every wash with a penetrating oil (eg. avocado oil, olive oil, coconut oil). You can try mixing it with a humectant as well (eg. Aloe Vera or Flax Seed Gel).
- Regular strong protein treatments like the one from Aphogee (the longer you leave them on the stronger the treatment. Absorption also improves with heat).
- When you use a moisture mask are you leaving them in long enough and have your tried adding heat to help your hair absorb the moisture? For example, after application you can put a shower cap on and wrap your head in a towel to help your head generate heat and improve the efficacy of the mask!
