While genetics define the baseline of how your hair looks, it doesn't mean that you can't improve it. What defines the quality and looks of your hair today are your day to day practices and what you expose your hair to. There are some things you won't be able to change like the natural colour of your hair, it's shape (straight, curly, wavy) but there will be many things that you can boost to get the very best version of your hair! You know very well that the same person can have a clear skin, thin and muscular body OR have a lot of acne and a lot of excess fat. Of course genetics will play a role in how easy it will be to maintain shape and health, but EVERYONE is able to stay in shape and look amazing with the right guidance and practices. Imagine you buy a new diesel fuelled car but no one ever told you it's a diesel so you go and fuel it with gasoline. As a result your car will probably not drive very far and things with start breaking left and right. So you go to a mechanic and she tells you: "Hey! That's a diesel car, you should fuel it with diesel!" So you start doing that and your car starts riding perfectly. Unlikely but would you be able to get way more out of your car than if you continued to fuel it with gasoline? Probably :) Hairqare Lab has been created to bring out the natural potential of your hair because even though a lot about your hair is predetermined by your genes, doing the right or the wrong thing can still make it worse or better. Another thing to note is that healthy hair is naturally aesthetic (or at least society has decided that is what the beauty standard is). Across all ethnicities, we've evolved to have a sealed cuticle, a vibrant pigment, and shiny hair that reflects the suns rays so that your skin doesn't burn and you don't die of cancer (this is what pre-historic humans needed before we built shelter like we have in the modern age). So it's through poor health, exposure to poor practices or aging that things characteristics of our hair start to break down. But you have control over preventing this and slowing it down. In regards to aging, you there are practices to slow that down too. Of course, eventually, we will all get old. But if you look after it for decades to come, you can have beautitful hair in old age compared to someone else the same age who doesn't take care of their hair.
