My low-porosity hair doesn't take in any moisture. I've tried masks and deep conditioning and I stay away from proteins and penetrating oils, still the dryness won't go away. What else can I do?

The following is called our "Low Porosity Sledge Hammer" and should only be used as an absolute last resort as this technique can permanently alter the porosity of your hair. The goal with this tecnique is to get your hair up to medium porosity but nothing higher than that.
Steps:
1. Do a Porosity Test and monitor your hair very closely.
2. Prepare a solution of conditioner and baking soda.
3. Soak your strand in the solution for 5 minutes.
4. Remove the strand, clean it with a sulphate shampoo and allow it to dry.
5. Do another Porosity Test to see if the porosity increased.
6. Use this to find the right balance of baking soda concentration and soaking duration that brings your hair to medium porosity.
7. Once you find the right equation, prepare a batch and apply it to your hair after washing with a sulphate-free shampoo
8. Follow up with a moisture treatment and a sealant using a humectant and a mix of penetrating and sealing oils.
