Hydrolyzed collagen (or collagen peptides) is easier for the body to absorb, so it is a good option. The only drawback is that these supplements are often very expensive.
Another drawback is that they usually only aid in the production or collagen, and not keratin. Therefore, taking Amino Acids can be cheaper and more beneficial, since you can choose ones that aid in both collagen and keratin synthesis. For example, Lysine & L-Methionine.
