Should I be washing my hair upside down?

Yes washing your hair upside down can be a good option for you. Here are a few pros and cons:
1 - Shampooing upside down helps applying shampoo mostly on the scalp/root area with less dripping of the product to our ends, helping to reduce the risks of dryness of our hair length (let’s remember that shampoo is primarily there for scalp health and balance and should be used on the ends only in case of build up or excessive dirt that actually reached the ends. But most of the times our hair is greasy/dirty mostly close to the scalp). This is especially true for curly hair which don’t have so much natural oil dripping down the strands (due to the hair spirals) and already is prone to dryness.
2- It lifts up the root so dirt can be removed more easily from the scalp and creates less tangles in the process of massaging our scalp to clean.
3- Our personal pro for comfort: It allows to use the ideal water temperature on the strands without freezing in the shower.
Con: It can add a bit more gravitational stress on your strands and if you are already prone to losing a lot of hair, it may feel like you're losing more hair with this method.
So if you feel more comfortable washing your hair standing, there is no major harm that can come from that position. As long as you are careful to minimise tangles, no pulling on your wet hair, be gentle on your roots, do your pre-poo and all other protective steps, you’re good to go with what you prefer.
