Whether a sealant is required after using a silicone conditioner ultimately depends on the type of silicones in your formulation. When using airy and friendly silicones, you'll still want to make use of a sealant for added moisture and protection. If you're using a resilient silicone, then this should be the final step in your routine and a sealant is not needed. We recommend avoiding no-go silicones entirely and advise you to take note of any ingredient combinations that could alter the category of silicones used. For more examples of silicones and their respective categories, please reference our Guide to Silicones & Sulphates.
