Shampoo A is quite a basic shampoo formulation, rather than a luxury shampoo formulation. This is because within the challenge, it serves as an introduction to DIY Haircare, and is a simple recipe to make.
Therefore, there are a couple of things to take note of which could improve your experience:
1. Firstly, all DIY recipes need to be tweaked to suit the hair of the person who is using it. We have tried to ensure Shampoo A and B suit as many hair profiles as possible, however this isn't always the case. Therefore, feel free to adjust the amounts of the different ingredients or switch out different ingredients, until you find your perfect version of the formulation.
2. For example, you could switch out Olive Oil with another oil of your choice. Olive Oil doesn't necessarily suit everyone and can be too heavy for some people or too light for others. Therefore, it is a simple thing to adjust to see if you can achieve better results with another option.
3. Thirdly, these basic shampoo formulations ideally need to be followed up by a conditioner for most people. This is because the formulations are designed for cleansing the hair, but not hydrating it. Therefore, if you have dryer hair normally, you are going to want to replenish the moisture within your hair strands after washing, by using a conditioner. You can choose a blacklist ingredient free conditioner to follow up the shampoo with!
4. Lastly, sometimes certain ingredients and formulations just don't suit some people's hair. Therefore, if you have tweaked and adjusted and tried all the things mentioned above, but still can't improve your experience, either you need to know more information about your hair profile so you can make better choices for your hair (shared in the HairQare Lab Program), or you should try a new formulation/ product instead.
