Do students with seborrheic dermatitis/dandruff have to worry about the oils in their conditioners, as these generally aren’t applied to the scalp?

This ultimately depends on how severe your scalp condition is. It can be quite difficult to avoid conditioner touching your scalp entirely, especially if your hair is short. So, we generally advise only using oils suitable for your scalp in these formulations. If you do have very long hair and only use conditioner on your lower strands then you may be able to get away with other oils.
