My conditioner has sodium sulfate as one of it's ingredients but it's not listed on the silicones and sulphates guide, is it still safe to use?

Sodium Sulfate is different from Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and is used to thicken products like conditioners, it is not blacklisted but can be irritating when left on the skin.
If this ingredient is in a product that you'll rinse immediately the risk is minimal so you can keep using your product. In the case where its for a scalp mask or treatment that you'll leave on your skin for longer time, it may cause irritation so we recommend being more cautious in that case and immediately discontinuing the use of that product if you notice any bad reaction.
