Scalp psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis are both conditions that result from a fungus called malassezia. Though they express themselves differently, treatment tends to be the same.
Dandruff is a symptom of the type of malassezia that causes seborrheic dermatitis while eczema is a symptom of the type of malassezia that causes scalp psoriasis.
