A: That’s a really good question and managing our deficiencies does require some soft touch. What is most important to consider when you supplement is that the dose you're taking fits the deficiency you have. Sometimes doctors would recommend taking more than the usual RDI to treat a specific condition, in which case it's fine. But make sure you check again your levels once completed the course of supplements because if you continue once you're deficiency is cured, it will then create an overdose of the mineral with all the bad consequences explained by the mineral wheel. Without a doctor's advice, do stick religiously to the RDI or you highly risk overdosing on the mineral, which will interfere with the absorption of other minerals. You can check the Mineral Wheel to see which can interfere with which mineral, and you can find more information in the Better Hair & Better Health Manual.
