If your scalp is overall dry and itchy already, the formulation of shampoo B does sound quite appropriate but there are some things we can adjust in the process of making to improve the results. If your scalp is more on the oily type, we'd recommend switching to the recipe of shampoo A.
If you want to improve your results with shampoo B, here are some suggestions:
Firstly, did you filter carefully your shampoo at the end of the formulation? Sarah doesn’t show this step clearly in the video and it’s often something that our students miss so while making this shampoo. At the end of the formulation, before adapting the pH, strain the whole thing with a fine cloth to make sure that no reetha powder is left in the final result. Otherwise the powder would build up on your scalp for sure.
Also, if you have already strained your shampoo correctly but you still feel that the shampoo is not washing your hair enough, I recommend to soak your reetha powder differently to extract more soap from it. Basically, you can try boiling the powder for 10min in water and then strain that into your final shampoo. This should help get more saponins out of the powder, making the shampoo a bit more efficient in cleansing.
This has helped many students who had similar issues as you, keep us posted how it goes!
